Welcome to the Hybrid Micro Mouse Challenge 2026. Use these resources to understand the competition, prepare your robot, and improve its performance before the event.
Official Rulebooks-
School Edition Rulebook: Eligibility for Grades 9–12, arena layout, robot specifications, scoring, penalties, inspection, and safety.
-
College Edition Rulebook: College eligibility, robot specifications, competition format, scoring, penalties, inspection, and safety.
Follow the rulebook corresponding to your registered category.
Tools and TechnologiesParticipants may use technologies permitted by the official rules:
-
Microcontrollers: Arduino, ESP32, or similar platforms.
-
Sensors: IR sensors, ultrasonic sensors, and wheel encoders.
-
Programming: Embedded C/C++ or the appropriate development environment for your controller.
-
Hardware: Motors, motor drivers, batteries, wiring, and mounting components.
-
Testing: A practice line track, a maze layout, sensor-calibration tools, and serial debugging utilities.
Participants must bring their own robots and components unless the organizers announce otherwise.
Preparation Checklist-
Test line tracking on a 3 cm black line against a white surface.
-
Practise maze exploration without a guiding line.
-
Verify robot dimensions and weight.
-
Calibrate sensors and test motor control.
-
Check battery security and the three-second start delay.
-
Test recovery from line loss and maze turns.
-
Prepare the one-page design note.
-
Ensure team members can explain the hardware and software.
-
Review the applicable rulebook and scoring penalties.
The challenge combines line-following robotics with autonomous maze navigation. Focus on accurate sensing, stable control, efficient exploration, and reliable decision-making.
Test early, debug systematically, and optimize for both speed and consistency.
BUILD. PROGRAM. CONQUER.
Use the official rulebook supplied by the organizers as the definitive source for competition requirements.
